What is flimmit? Flimmit is an international video on demand service. It all started in 2007, when a group of film producers and web developers decided to support film makers and producers by distributing their films on the internet in an easy way such that film lovers from all over the world would be able to watch and download films legally. Thus we created the platform www.flimmit.com which was launched in spring 2009 with a catalogue of classic movies, retro stuff and festival films.
To present flimmit’s idea and mission statement to filmmakers, we produced a little movie called “Mark, Anna and the Undead Vampire Gorillas”, now also available in English. But see for yourself!

The flimmit movie store was created with the aim of providing people with their favourite movies in a legal and easy way – which is precisely what our motto “load – burn – cinema“ stands for. We think that offering high quality movies at a fair price is the best way to solve the problem of movie piracy.

On flimmit people can decide if they want to rent or buy a movie: we offer “download to rent“ (24h-streaming in high and medium quality) and “download to own“ (in two file versions: mp4 and DVD-image). The platform www.flimmit.com is technically optimized for selling films around the world. Unlike many other VOD-platforms, flimmit supports Windows, Mac AND Linux computers and on top of that, it is very easy to use. Furthermore, users benefit from special developments made by flimmit – for example film streaming in different languages and subtitles. We also offer our customers the possibility to pay the most popular and secure ways, such as by credit card and paypal.

For those who got interested now in flimmit, we are currently planning to launch the platform in English in late summer.
